This week flew by, though every day was really long. There was a lot of presentations and a lot of meetings to hyper-focus on a single client. I feel really bad for other clients and our account managers who are trying to get information from me to keep those clients happy. We are getting so close to our deadlines and there is a lot of work to do and this is the month that many are taking off because they couldn’t go anywhere this year. It sucks. I could use a vacation… but if I had the days, where would I go? Nowhere. If I could add positivity to this, it’s because of the situation and the times that I can devote a lot of focus to work and help get us to where we need to be.

Whenever I have free time on my calendar, it’s like this.

Thanksgiving 2020

We had a quiet and small celebration of Thanksgiving and then put the tree up. Damien came over.

I don’t even know anymore, 108?

So I used a days calculator and skipped weekends and days off and apparently it counted to 75 days, which by my count was last Friday…

But if I just do all days, I’m at 108, so I don’t know if I will continue to count days, but I’ll still post weekly. I’ll use the calculator when necessary.

Short week, hooray!
We have the ability to hire an ISO for the job I’ve been filling, hooray!
I actually had free time today! Hooray!

That’s three hoorays, I don’t know if I can take anymore! LOL

Jaime had the day off, unfortunately, Tuesday’s are my most busiest days and I just couldn’t take any time. She got to spend a lot of her time doing anything she liked. For dinner she wanted a sandwich. We ate fairly quickly as we had Ukulele night.

Jaime actually wanted these types of cakes for her birthday, and got to enjoy them!

Day 75

We are getting more help. We are making progress. It’s still very busy and the amount of hours isn’t much less.

It was my birthday yesterday. I got the day off of work and got to do whatever I wanted, which isn’t really too much lately with this whole pandemic thing going on.
Most of the day was spent responding to people on social media and by text. It was lovely.

I did go for a run to think some things through and to hit the ATM up so I could have some cash for the landscapers.

I got an awesome red lava ukulele, it’s pretty sweet! I’m learning this one song.

This pandemic really makes me wish I could celebrate with my family and friends. It also makes me wish that Jaime and I could go on vacations and travel too. But despite all things, it’s not too bad.

Today I got to join a friend’s ukulele group to see how things were run.

I had a great time!

Day 70

I took today off because it’s my birthday!

This last week was yet again, another crazy week. Even with a day off, I’m over 50 hours for this week. Some good news, I did a couple of interviews this week. One for additional assistance under the CIOs and one for CA. That’s fantastic! The work is getting more distributed, but I’m still super busy!

Brent’s Big 50th Birthday and Lynx Lake

It’s been a really long time since we’ve been out. It is an odd experience now, but we met with Brent/Brandee up at Lynx lake for a weekend of camping. When we got there, it was not about hugs, but about waving at each other and keeping socially distant.

We got to loosen up, have a few drinks, and enjoy “nature”. Lynx lake is beautiful country area and it’s literally 2 miles away from a Costco. A wonderful campground with some wild life and nice clean restrooms. Honestly, I’m a little jealous of those that had campers, but Jaime and I definitely do not camp enough to require one.

The weather was cold and fresh but the mix of sunshine and some cloud cover kept having us put on and taking off jackets.

Here’s some photos.
