The United States also is yet again proving we are a shit show.
Work hasn’t let up at all. We hit this year hot and heavy and many customers are needing answers on things we are in process of fixing.

This last week has given me more free time that I’ve had in the last three months. Many client requests/demands are less, we have a lot of other people involved, and we actually bring subject matter experts in to discuss particular topics so I don’t have to fumble.
Partho starts on Monday and I’m so happy about that!
As with most of the year, Jaime and I celebrated home alone and it was pretty uneventful. We did pause everything to run outside at 1 minute to midnight to see fireworks, and kiss.
We thought of the year and what all transpired throughout. Tried going month by month, aside from surviving a global pandemic and staying home, literally, all the time, the year was good to us. So much that we really could brag about things, but in the event that others who may stumble upon this that had really bad news, I think it would be in bad taste to. Let’s just hope that things get better for all in the new year.
Damien came over and we had a Christmas breakfast of waffles, then hurriedly got onto Facebook messenger to get everyone together on a group conference call.
Afterwards, we opened presents by the tree.
Another busy week. But it’s not just movement, it’s progress!
We ‘soft’ won the contract and the most criticized things have been accepted.
On for go-live 1/1!
Feeling like this dude most of the week.
This morning was my 9.32 mile run to complete the Hot Chocolate 15k. I ran 10 miles just for the sake of pushing myself. Work has not given me the luxury of time to balance out my pursuits of fitness and arts with work.
Because of result of being unbalanced, I honestly wasn’t sure how I’d do on my run. I’ve only been running on weekends and my sleep has been off.
I was glad to be able to complete my run and earn my medal!

Tuesdays are my busiest days, I do a really long presentation and get put on the spot for a lot of things… My ability to quickly respond is much appreciated by my team, but it takes a lot of prep time and with it, some stress.
After Tuesdays, it’s just easy cruising for the rest of the week, even though the rest of the week is loaded with meetings and work. Definitely not an easy week, but it’s not as stressful.
My boss had some bad news and I wished him condolences and he gave me a very nice note that I want to share. It’s really nice.

We keep increasing the number of people working on my project. It’s getting unruly, LOL. How many project managers do I need to have? It doesn’t matter, it’s not enough. There is a lot of work to be done, both from a project standpoint and from a business unit standpoint.
I am sure glad it’s Friday!
