For the Fourth of July, we did 2 separate events… one at our house with our friends and family to enjoy the pool, we did that the weekend before the fourth, and then on the fourth itself at Brandee and Brent’s, as per tradition. Both were lots of fun!

Father’s day weekend and the lake was so packed that I had to park the truck outside of the parking area, about a quarter mile from where we launched the boat! But once we got out onto the water, it was just a great, relaxing time with our friends! We chilled, listened to music, had a couple drinks, ate a little, and swam.
Our nerd-fest celebration has come around, we all reunite and get nerdy and geeky and dress up and go be fans of comic actors! We hang out, we eat, we drink, we hang out together, it’s just a lot of fun for almost a week! Our new tradition as of last year, is that my brother flies out from Michigan and we just spend a lot of good quality time together. We have so many friends with similar interests, it’s quite a reunion of sorts!
We took Petoonia out with our friends and their kids up to Lake Pleasant, our favorite lake! It was a really fun day!
Our Michigan family came to visit and we spent part of the day hanging out in the pool! It was great seeing them!
After some camping hardships that we went through, mostly food separation related, we decided to pull the trigger and get an RV. We had some good conversations with our financial advisor and it made sense and wouldn’t impact us too badly. While we picked it up in Mesa, we were also coincidentally invited to my niece’s daughter’s birthday.
Our best friend, Camille, whom we haven’t seen in a bit, reached her 50th birthday and her sister, Raquel, created a pretty cool party! It was so good to see her and the family. It is always like no time has passed at all, but at the same time, everyone is older and bigger. The kids whom we’ve been around since they were tiny babies, or even from before they were born, are growing so big!
One of our really good friends, Mindi, hit her milestone birthday. We got to hang out with her and some friends, and of course, we ran into someone I knew there. Ha! I usually run into people I know.
For the Dark Ones party, the theme was the Silk Road, and to make it funny, we did the Spice Girls, gender bent… kind of! I brought up the idea while we were at the Ren Faire and Brian just wanted to run with it, so he got some other volunteers to be the other girls! LOL
We got the family together for my nephew William’s birthday. and we even got Damien’s girlfriend to hang out with us. It was a good morning! Happy birthday William!
