Ford 911 Assist Foils Hit-and-Run Driver

57-year-old Cathy Bernstein, a Florida woman, was driving her Ford in Port St. Lucie, on Friday when she allegedly ran into a Ford truck and then a Dodge minivan, hard enough to deploy the airbags. Not even caring, she left both scenes. Her car called 911 to report an accident using 911 Assist, which gets help in an accident in the event you are disabled.

911 Operators called Cathy, didn’t believe her alleged lies and dispatched police to investigate. She’s in jail now.
